Humphreys County Flood Survivor Resource Meeting – September 7, 6:00 PM

Waverly, TN – Questions to be answered by state, federal officials and non-profit volunteer organizations.

Following the Middle Tennessee, hundreds of structures in Humphreys, Dickson, Houston and Hickman Counties have been damaged or destroyed due to the violent storms and flooding last week. Not many realize the health hazards that come with this type of disaster and the resources that may be available to them. Christ In Action and Missionary Grove Baptist Church in partnership with emergency management will host a community meeting to bring representatives from the FEMA, the SBA, Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance, Christ In Action, Samaritan’s Purse, Eight Days of Hope and others to give brief updates on the recovery effort and answer any questions from the community. The meeting will be held at Waverly First Baptist Church sanctuary at 300 E Main St, Waverly, TN, and will last one hour. Chaplains will be on hand for emotional and spiritual care.
