THE CITIZEN TO CITIZEN FUND PAGE

Tennessee VOAD maintains an account from which limited grants are made available to Tennessee based Disaster Long Term Recovery groups.   These grants are in turn used by these groups to aid families and individuals in their communities who have remaining unmet serious needs, after available governmental disaster aid and normal voluntary agency assistance has been exhausted.

While Tennessee VOAD does not usually actively solicit donations, we are delighted whenever any individual or group sees fit to make a donation to the fund.

Tennessee VOAD is a charitable foundation as defined under rule 501(c)(3) of the federal income tax code.  As a result, any donation made to Tennessee VOAD’s Citizen to Citizen Fund is an eligible deductible item, as a charitable contribution under the regulations of the Internal Revenue Service.

We are required to make a good faith effort to obtain the name and address of all individual contributors, and to make this information available to the Internal Revenue Service on demand.
